SCOUTS

We have also been working with the local scouts of North-Senegal since 2010: "les Scouts du Fleuve".  In 2014 we built a classroom for them and in the summer of 2015. The scouts held a first grand camp in the National Park "Langue de Barbarie" (PNLB) and whilst there, they helped with the planting of trees (mangrove and filao) and cleaning of the bank of the River Senegal.  The camp is organized every year, together with about 60 children from the village, and these camps are copied in other national parks with other local scout groups. Vzw Tougoupeul finances these camps and supplies food. The government National Parks department takes responsibility for all logistics, transport and tents.
